InningWise is a baseball team app for coaches, team managers and parents: rosters, lineups, live scoring, pitch counts, practice plans and player training games. This policy covers the InningWise website at inningwise.com and the InningWise iOS app, which shows the same service. It explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have.
The short version
- We collect what the service needs to work: your email address, the team information you and your coaches enter, and game and training data.
- We do not show ads, do not use advertising or analytics trackers, do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and do not sell or rent personal information.
- Card details are handled by Stripe. InningWise never receives or stores your card number.
- You can delete your account at any time, in the app or on the website, at Account → Delete account.
Information we collect
Your account
- Email address. Accounts sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Your email identifies your account and is how coaches invite you.
- Sign in with Apple or Google, where offered. If you choose one, we receive the email address the provider shares (with Apple this may be a private relay address) and, if you allow it, your name. For Sign in with Apple we also keep a token solely so we can revoke it when you delete your account.
- Your roles: which organizations and teams you belong to and in what role (owner, manager, coach, parent), and which players a parent account is linked to.
- Notification preferences for team emails.
Team information entered by coaches, managers and parents
- Organization and team names, age groups and seasons.
- Players’ names (as the team chooses to enter them), jersey numbers and batting/throwing side, rosters and lineups.
- Email addresses of people a coach or manager invites, and join requests (including the child’s name a parent enters and any note to the organization).
Game, practice and training data
- Scores, play-by-play, pitch counts, defensive positions, game history and game reviews.
- Practice plans, custom drills and training assigned to players.
- Results and progress in the player training games, saved to the player’s record on the team when played from a signed-in coach or parent account.
Subscriptions
Organizations subscribe on the website. For a subscribing organization we keep the billing owner’s account, the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, seat count, billing interval and subscription status. Stripe collects and holds payment details under its own privacy policy; InningWise never sees full card numbers.
Push notifications (iOS app)
If you turn on notifications in the iOS app, we store your device’s Apple push token, whether it is a development or production build, and the app version, linked to your account. We use it only to send the team notices you asked for. Notification text is not stored with the token. You can turn notifications off in the app or in iOS Settings.
Technical information
- Cookies that keep you signed in and remember the organization you selected. They are strictly necessary for the service; we use no advertising or analytics cookies.
- On-device storage: the browser or app keeps some data locally so it works offline or resumes where you left off, such as live scoring in progress, practice drafts and training-game progress on the free play of the day. It stays on your device unless the feature syncs it to your team.
- Server logs: our hosting provider records standard request information (such as IP address, browser or app user agent, the page requested and the time) to run and secure the service.
How we use information
- To provide the service: sign-in, team management, scoring, practice and training, and showing each person what their role allows.
- To send the email you expect: sign-in codes, invitations, and team notices you opted into.
- To run subscriptions for organizations that subscribe.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, fix problems and answer support requests.
We do not use personal information for advertising or sell it to anyone.
Who can see team information
Team information is visible to the people the organization gives access to, according to their role. Parents see the players they are linked to. Coaches can share read-only game display links and temporary scoring links for a specific game; anyone with such a link can view or score that game until the coach revokes it or it expires.
Service providers
We use these companies to run InningWise. They process information on our behalf, for these purposes only:
- Supabase — database and account sign-in (including sending sign-in codes).
- Vercel — website and app hosting, and request logs.
- Stripe — subscription payments for organizations.
- Resend — delivery of invitation and team notification emails.
- Apple — push notification delivery to the iOS app, and Sign in with Apple if you use it.
- Google — Sign in with Google, if offered and you use it.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of our users or the service.
Children
InningWise is intended for adults: coaches, team managers and parents. Accounts are for adults, and we do not knowingly let children under 13 create an account or knowingly collect personal information directly from them. Players do not need an account. The free play of the day can be played without signing in, and then stores progress only on the device.
Players’ names, rosters and game statistics are entered by the adult coaches, managers and parents of their team, and are shared only within that team’s organization as described above. Players may use the training games on a parent’s or coach’s signed-in device. A parent or guardian who wants to review or delete information about their child can ask the team’s coach or organization, or contact us at the address below.
How long we keep information
- Your account is kept until you delete it. Deleting it removes your sign-in and email address, your memberships and roles, family links to players, notification settings, push tokens and pending join requests.
- Organization records — teams, rosters, games, scoring history, practice plans and drills — belong to the organization and stay with it for its other members after an individual account is deleted. An organization only you belong to is closed when you delete your account. An organization owner can ask us to delete the organization’s data by contacting us.
- Records of access changes (for example, who invited whom) are kept for the organization’s security and refer to a deleted account only by an internal identifier, not by name or email.
- Billing records are kept by Stripe and by us as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations.
- Server logs are kept for a limited period by our hosting provider.
Deleting your account
Sign in, open Account (your initials at the top of the coach workspace, or Account in its sidebar) and choose Delete account. It works the same in the iOS app and on the website, and takes effect immediately. If you own an organization that has other members, first transfer ownership in People & access. If you are the billing owner of an active subscription, cancel it first.
Your choices and rights
You can see and update most of your information in the app, change email notification preferences, turn off push notifications, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information. To make a request, contact us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Security
InningWise uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Database access is server-side only, sign-in cookies cannot be read by page scripts, and each request is checked against the person’s role. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders by email or in the app.
